Holly (On Trial 16/12/13)

Holly is a Silky Terrier x and a real sweetheart. She is 13 yrs old, but don't let that fool you, she acts much younger. She adores going for a walk and can walk briskly but not for very long, 20 minutes is plenty for her. She is excellent in the car, she just sits happily tethered in the back seat without any problems.

Miss Holly just loves to give and receive affection. She is very friendly and adorable and likes to sit on your lap, but she isn't a pest at all. She loves everyone that she meets. When visitors come she makes friends quickly and will happily sit on their lap too if allowed.

Holly is a very quiet girl, not a barker. She gets along very well with all the other small dogs here. She is housetrained and spends all her time inside, only going outside for toileting. She is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside.

Holly came into rescue with bad teeth. She had to have all but 3 of her teeth removed by a vet. She is much happier now that she doesn't have a sore mouth and is quite perky! She has no trouble eating soft foods such as tinned dog food, mince, boiled vegetables, etc. Sometimes her little tongue hangs out to one side because she has so few teeth to hold it in! This only makes her even cuter.

Holly would suit someone who doesn't want to spend a lot of time walking but can still take her for a short walk most days. She would suit a family with either no children or children older than about 10 as she wouldn't like her tail pulled etc. Grandchildren or other little visitors would be fine. She loves being patted and just being with you. Holly will make a very loving companion for somebody.
