About Audrey
Audrey is an absolute delight, she came to us in a very sick state having given birth to kittens in the pound. It was immediately evident that Audrey was in no fit state herself as she had given everything to her kittens. Though Audrey loved her babies she had no milk due to being so undernourished, and the kittens had to be taken away for hand rearing so that we could focus on getting Audrey well. She was initially hospitalised requiring IV fluids and medication to try and pep her up. She was a miserable 2.6kg and all bones. It was noticed that Audrey wasn't eating, and she came into care to be hand fed for two weeks before she finally felt well enough to begin eating on her own. It has taken many weeks for her to reach a healthy weight of 3.2kg, but she now has the all clear and has not looked back.
It takes Audrey about a week to settle into a new environment as she is a little frightened initially of new situations, but boy is she worth the wait! With only a little comforting she quickly turns into your best friend.
She loves to snuggle and cuddle, and will restlessly bunt her little face all over you to show you how much she adores you. she loves belly rubs and kneading on laps (though sometimes using a little too much claw). She does enjoy the occasional play, though this quickly reverts back to just pats and cuddles. If she is not prepared for you to leave her behind from cuddles she will quickly and gently race ahead and tackle your leg in an attempt to stop you for more cuddles.
She currently is fed on Royal Canin young female, but would be quite happy with any food as doesn't appear to be too fussy. She uses recycled paper litter and is very clean, has never made a toilet mistake. She does shed quite a bit of hair, so would not go well with someone with allergies.
