Caramel (On Trial 9/1/14)

Introducing Caramel, Staffy cross Cattle dog, 1 1/2 to 2 years old. She is a very sweet girl, and also very smart. She adores our Labrador. They are the best of friends and spend hours roaming the yard together, snuggled up sleeping, or licking each other. Caramel needs to go to a family with another dog for company, preferably a male dog.

Caramel walks great on a lead, and loves to go for walks. She is also fantastic in the car, sitting quietly looking out the window. She loves playing fetch, although she didn't know what to do at first she is now a pro at running to get the ball. She's such a sweetheart she usually gets to the ball first but lets our Labrador bring the ball back. She can jump quite high, so will need to go to a family that has 6ft fences.

Caramel is wonderful with children! She is very gentle with them and loves watching them play and run around, although she can get a little over excited occasionally and lick them quite a bit. We are teaching her not to jump up, and she is definitely not doing it as much. She can also sit and will not start eating her dinner until she gets the OK. She's starting to get the hang of 'stay'.

Caramel adores people, and loves spending time with our family inside and outside. She is happy to spend time outside, and she also sleeps outside, but she is happiest inside curled up on her bed with our dog. She follows us around the house and is a very curious girl who just loves to see what's going on. She is mostly house trained, but has the occasional accident if she's left inside too long, but we're working on that. She is starting to stand at the door when she needs to go. She will need to be allowed to spend some time indoors in her forever home.

Caramel is a wonderful dog just looking for a home to call her own.
