About Porthos (D913)
Porthos is one gorgeous guy that will be a strong boy when he grows up. It is anticipated as with a lot of Shar-pei Athos will need some facial surgery as he grows to address entropia on his eyes and possibly surgery to address some breathing difficulties when sleeping (yes he is a big snorer!).
Porthos will need and owner that is dedicated to providing him a forever home that not only has the financial capacity to afford future vet treatment but also one that has the time and energy to be a strong leader and establish good obedience training and habits. With the mixed breed of Staffy and Shar-pei Porthos will be a strong character when he grows, but if you are looking for a devoted life long canine companion, then Porthos may be your man!!
Porthos will cost $350.00 to adopt and this will help cover some of the costs associated with his health check, vaccination, microchipping, flea and worm treatment and desexing. (It will also cover the costs of the first year of registration if he continues to reside in the HRCC council area).
Horsham PAWS is looking for an experienced Shar-pei or large dog breed owner for this little guy. We do not want to see him bounce back to a shelter when he is fully grown.
Porthos' mum is a beautiful black brindle staffy. His father is unknown but clearly is a Shar-pei looking at these pups.
Medical notes
Fit and healthy pup but will need some entropian surgery and possibly soft pallett surgery when he is a little older
