About Teddy (On Trial 19/12/13)
Hello I am Teddy, a 5 year old male Maltese terrier. I am a small energetic breed which is often referred to as a lap-dog, because we are predominately an indoor dog. Although energetic, I am just as happy curling up next to my owner and taking time to relax. Previously I lived with an elderly lady who gave me heaps of cuddles and took me on lots of walks.
I am a petite dog but I do have a huge heart and am not afraid to show how affectionate and loyal I can be. I have an affectionate personality. I am also very social and enjoy regular interactions with other dogs though not necessarily wanting to share my home with them.
I can be intolerant of children under the age of about 12 so it is preferable that my new family has either older children or no children.
My eating habits are good and I am not overweight but I can put on weight easily, so please don’t kill me with kindness in this area. \ I am great with my toileting skills and have not had an accident indoors.
Because I don't shed I need regular brushin, bathing, and clipping. Bath time is just the best and could see myself visiting a grooming salon to ensure I look my best at all times.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
