About Rhino
Introducing Rhino!
Behind that smooshy face is a sweet and funny fellow looking for love!
It is the simple pleasures that keep this man happy, he really does not ask for much at all! Basking in the sun, a casual walk around the block, some hearty food (he loves that bit) and some time spent snoring (loudly) at your feet is all this fellow needs!
Rhino is fabulous with other dogs of all sizes and loves a little rough and tumble, he just needs to be mindful when playing with larger dogs (he forgets he is not as young as he used to be), and he is also cat friendly (he is not phased at all by those strange furry creatures)!
Grooming (brushing) is undertaken by the resident child in Rhino’s foster home with no argument from Rhino. He quite enjoys it actually…
Rhino has a perfectly good kennel at his disposal which he uses at his discretion, however this is nothing like sleeping ‘alfresco’ so a little undercover area would be ideal! No acreage is required for this little guy… a nice space to call his own (you know where he can sniff and explore and do dog stuff) is more than enough especially when coupled with a little afternoon stroll! Rhino will happily alert you to any strange noises or activity going on outside but I would not rely on his guard dog instinct… a doggy treat will render you his new best friend!
Rhino is putting shame to the old adage ‘You can’t teach an old dog new tricks’ and he is learning how to behave like a gentleman in the house, whilst he is quite happy to spend the hours of the day outside, family time is a real favourite so an owner prepared to help Rhino ‘keep up the good work’ would be awesome! He is learning (slowly) to come when he is called, sit on command although not eating the cat food is going to take a little longer to master!
Rhino is also happy to participate in a nice warm bath to ensure a fresh and flea free existence! An old soul with more personality and quirks than you can poke a stick at… Rhino will warm your heart!

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
