About Chester and Fizz
Chester and Fizz are two lovable boys who have grown up together. Chester is the more outgoing of the two. He’s always sitting around watching what you are doing. He will come to the side of the cage for a pat and he’s always hoping you are going to slip him a little treat. He absolutely loves a good chin rub. \ Fizz is a little more shy than Chester but loves to be cuddled. Both boys are very calm and placid and great to hold.
Chester is a special pig. \ He only has one eye. His right eye had to be removed, as upon rescue it was discovered he had sustained an eye injury that was unable to be fixed. As such, he will need a family that understands that when approaching him, you need to announce your arrival so as not to scare him. He has adjusted extremely well to only having one eye and it does not affect him in any way. He needs no special care at all and is just like any other guinea pig.
Chester and Fizz were rescued from a free-range situation. Someone had let them, and over 30 other pigs, loose to roam the neighbourhood. The neighbours contacted the shelter to help save these piggies as birds and cats were killing the babies and older piggies. In total 26 pigs were rescued.
