About Charli
Charli is an extremely friendly and affectionate 9 month old border collie x lass who found herself surrendered to a Sydney pound because her owners no longer had time for her. Luckily for Charli she really is getting a second chance not just with Sydney Animal Second-chance but with her foster carer who has 2 border collies herself and is an experienced handler who is showing Charli the ropes and putting in the work with her that her previous owners did not.
Her foster carer says that Charli is super intelligent and she believes that Charli would be well suited to an agility/dog sport home as she would really excel in this environment and it would give her the stimulation and job that working breeds need and love. She is super quick and eager to please...perhaps a future trialling champion in the making.... If you are not into agility/dog sports but you lead an active life then Charli would also be suitable as her carer goes running with her on a daily basis.
Charli and her foster carer have recently commenced Obedience at her carer's local dog club. Charlie is a great dog who will develop further with an owner dedicated to continuing the work and training that her carer has commenced to ensure that she will be a wonderful member of her new household.
The fourth picture shows Charli with her new doggy friends whilst in holiday care at Caesar's Doggy Palace while her foster carer was away over Christmas for a few weeks. She had lots of fun . A big thank you to Marie Stack our wonderful volunteer and the proprietor of Caesar's Doggy Palace for adding Charli to her large holiday brood over Christmas and continuing her socialisation and training.
The fifth and sixth picture show Charli with her foster siblings, Bob and Blue.
Charli is housetrained, good with other dogs of all sizes and excellent in the car. Some acreage would also be beneficial however not an absolute must as long as she gets her daily exercise. Charlie must have access inside as this is what she is used to in her foster home and is a well behaved house guest.
Our preference is to see her rehomed with another dog for company when her new owner is not at home.
Charli's adoption fee includes:-
desexing
microchipping
C5 injection
annual heartworm injection
registration with your local council
worming/flea treatment
...and of course the training that her foster carer has commenced with her which is priceless.
Charli is currently in foster care in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.
