About Demelza
Demelza has soulful, expressive eyes that just melt your heart. This sweet little girl adores her people and loves being with them all the time (preferably inside with a couch handy to curl up on). Demelza's gentle and affectionate nature shines through as she recovers after being hit by a car.
She prefers people, but gets along just fine with other dogs. Demelza is understandably cautious right now about everything, but she and her foster brother are slowly becoming good friends.
She is a smart cookie and responds well to reward-based training, and a small amount of training will be needed. Nothing drastic, but as you'd expect, she has never been taught how to walk on leash and isn't all that savvy about the world in general.
But with a bit of time, this lovely soul will enrich your life. What do you think?
Medical notes
Demelza was hit by a car about seven weeks ago. She was transported to Melbourne where she was operated on by a specialist.
Demelza had a fractured pelvis and other damage but she is a tough little girl and has bounced back.
Currently Demelza has to be crated when her carer is out and she needs to be handled carefully in order to recover from her injuries. Demelza is expected to make a full recovery.
Demelza weighs approximately 5 kgs.
