About Josie
Meet Josie who originally started her life as an abandoned cat who very early in her young life found herself a pregnant Mum. Collected by a member of the public and brought to a Sydney animal shelter she was thought to be a Johny male cat and due to her striking good looks was rescued and brought into our care.
Well within a matter of weeks it was soon established that Johny was a Mother cat and she dutifully produced six beautiful kittens and carefully raised them so hence she became known as Josie.
All of her babies have now found loving homes and we are looking for a forever home for Josie. Josie is one of those cats who just has to be the centre of attention. She loves being cuddled and stroked and having been in foster care for some months she has settled into a family cat. She is extremely playful, loves people and just has to talk to you in fact she holds her own conversation with you.
She is virtually a chatter box and also enjoys a game of fetch with her toys as though she was a dog. In fact she shares her foster home with two german shepherd dogs and enjoys playing and sparing with them. Josie will head butt for attention and follow you around the home and garden and is so social she will meet visitors with a meow and then follow them out the door to say goodbye.
She has the instinct to hunt so best to bring her inside at night to ensure she behaves herself so if you are looking for a playful, people person cat who tolerates dogs and is social with her fellow rescue feline mates then consider Josie.
