About Lucy
Like many young country girls, Lucy longed for a city life where all the action is! She is currently loving life fostered in the Inner West in Sydney.
Lucy is a gorgeous medium sized girl around 18 months old with the prettiest brown eyes and foxy tail! Despite not having the best start in life, she is definitely a people dog and greets everyone she meets with an enthusiastic tail wag.
This sweet girl is very affectionate with her carers, loves pats and cuddles and will give a big sloppy kiss in return.
Lucy is enjoying life as an indoor dog and is well behaved in the house, is toilet trained and sleeps through the night in her doggie bed. She has not shown any naughty tendencies such as barking, digging or destructive behaviour.
Miss Beautiful enjoys being brushed, is not fond of baths but is ok with them, walks well on her lead and travels well in the car (very calm and doesn't get car sick).
Lucy is a wonderful dog who would love to be a part of a young, active family. She gets along well with other dogs and would enjoy doggy company, however she'd also be fine being an only dog as long as she gets lots of human attention and regular exercise/walks.
This gorgeous girl is very easy going, she just LOVES people, and she's ready for her furever family.
MY IDEAL HOME
I need a family who understand I haven't had the greatest start in life and who will continue to work on my training (I have got basic obedience down already and am a good mannered girl). My foster mum says I'm smart and that I have lots of potential - treats are worth the work in my opinion!
I do get very excited when people come home and I'm learning to not jump up but sometimes I forget cause it's just the best to see them again!
Really I just want a home with people who love me and will give me lots of cuddles.
MY ENERGY LEVELS
I'm a lean medium sized dog who came from the country however I'm not suited to life around livestock but I'm used to an active life as a result. I enjoy a good walk at least once a day and also enjoy the stimulation of getting out and about. After we've had our exercise time I am happy to chill out and snooze in my doggy bed though.
SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN AND OTHER ANIMALS
I am not currently living with children in my foster home however I love everybody I meet so I think I would be OK with kids.
I am currently living with two dogs and we get on great. There are no cats where I am now and I think that suits me best. I am not good with birds or other small animals.
I am a city girl looking to enjoy life in the suburbs!
Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill an enquiry form.
You can receive this by emailing NSWadoptions@maggiesrescue.org or visiting our webpage www.maggiesrescue.org
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
