Charlee *On Trial in Her New Home*

*CHARLEE IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HER NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES PLEASE* With her big beautiful eyes framed by lovely long lashes adorable Charlee-girl is bound to set hearts a flutter!

Recently surrendered to our local pound through no fault of her own, Charlee is enjoying the good life in foster care where she’s being spoilt by her foster family. She’s toilet trained and is loving spending time inside with the family as she wasn’t allowed inside at her previous home. This gorgeous little dog is friendly but not at all in your face or yappy and is described by her carer as “easygoing”. She’s fine with the households’ 8 year old and 6 year old little dogs who have taught her how to use the doggie door. Charlee’s not a real snuggly lapdog though she does enjoy attention and a pat and will happily lie next to you on the couch while you watch tv. She rarely jumps up on you and isn’t what you call a playful dog so we wouldn’t recommend her to a family who are wanting a playmate for the kids - we think young boisterous children may even frighten her, so she’d be better suited to a quiet household.

This gentle little dog doesn’t appear to be into toys though she does get excited around food especially chicken necks which are her new fave! Charlee knows how to sit for treats (which she takes very gently), is good on a lead and travels well in the car. We’re not sure what happened in her previous life but she’s missing a couple of bottom teeth though it doesn’t bother her at all. She’s been sleeping in the laundry at night and you don’t hear a peep out of her until the morning once “bedtime’s” been announced.

Adorable Charlee doesn’t lose any hair though she’ll require a good brush once a week and a clip a few times a year to keep her coat in tip-top condition. She would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a laidback doggie companion or on her own, but only if she won’t be left alone for long periods of time – being left by herself for hours on week days in a backyard would not suit her at all. Secure fencing, daily walks or runs around the backyard and a place to call home for the rest of her life will make Charlee very happy indeed!
