Benji

Benji is a sweet loving little dog, who adores cuddles and tummy rubs. He will climb up your chest to give you nose kisses, and will gently nudge your hand with his nose to make sure you don’t stop patting him. He is obedient, and will even shake hands when asked.

However, Benji is very picky about who he loves, and will not go to just anybody. He is the classic “one person Chihuahua” – and if you are very lucky, you will be his “one person”. He is looking for a very quiet home, with no children and no large dogs (as he is terrified of them). He is very timid around strangers and in new environments. He will need time to get comfortable in his new home. He has settled in extremely well in foster care, so we know how awesome Benji is once he feels at home.

He gets on well with other small dogs and cats. He is not particularly playful, but does like to sleep snuggled up to another dog (or human). He is house trained, and quiet (although like most chis he will let you know if he hears something strange). He likes to go for walks, and is okay off lead provided he isn’t being pestered by big dogs.
