About Puppy Oscar (On Trial 18/11/13)
Meet Oscar! He’s a 9 month old animated Jack Russell x beagle, with lots of energy and who loves his daily walks. He is fantastic with children and has proven this time and time again, dealing with my toddlers antics.
Whilst he is full of beans he is also quite happy to come and lie at your feet or cuddle with you on the couch.
Oscar is currently working on his house training and is going very well with no accidents in some time. He is still working on his basic commands but is very food driven which makes him easy to train. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
In his previous life, he was constantly bullied by bigger dogs and can be a bit timid, but is getting on famously with his current foster siblings. We are currently socialising him by going for walks with big dogs. He voices his opinion for about a minute then settles down and is happy to walk right beside them!
He is extremely gently with all his toys that he loves playing with so much, and has not destroyed them, a chewer he is not, which is lovely! Car rides make him very happy and he is so well behaved you won't even notice him.
When night falls he sleeps inside on his own bed and is very comfortable there! He does like to be outside during some of the day but loves to come in and hang out with his humans!
Oscar’s perfect family would be one where someone was home a lot of the time or one that has another dog to keep him company, as he can get a little bit sad when you’re away. So if you are looking for a little dog that will also become your little shadow then Oscar is perfect! He will follow you around everywhere. Oscar will make you his forever family so happy!!
For more information or to meet Oscar please contact his foster carer Mel on 0434051577 or melonie_b@hotmail.com. Oscar is located in Rutherford, NSW 2320 (near Maitland).

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
