About Libby *On Trial in Her New Home*
*LIBBY IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HER NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* If you like your Terriers on the “large” side then Libby’s the dog for you cos at 15.3kgs she’s not a little lapdog though she still enjoys cuddles and sharing the couch when it’s time to watch tv!!
Recently rescued from our local pound where she’d ended up through no fault of her own – we’re actually gobsmacked that an owner didn’t come forward to claim her as she’s such a sweetie! \ She’s settled in well into foster care where she’s loving being spoilt and rewards her carers with doggie kisses and lots of tail wags. Adorable Libby’s one of those happy, friendly dogs who gets along with most people she meets although we haven't introduced her to any children yet - she'd possibly bowl a toddler over when excited so older kids may suit Libby better. She’s terrific with other dogs having spent her time at the pound sharing her ‘cell’ with 2 friendly females and she likes playing with toys though for some reason doesn’t like the rubber/plasticky ones; they seem to scare her a bit.

Libby isn’t at all yappy and only barks for a reason. She’s not a “bolter” when a door or a gate are opened and she’s starting to know the name we gave her. While in care Libby’s been brushing up on “sit” and she’s terrific on a lead and even has good recall when off one, preferring to stay close to her foster carers. As she’s only 13 months old she can be a bit “mouthey” (though gentle) when she plays and she can always do with some more training which she enjoys – it’s all about the attention!
As Libby appears to be housetrained (she’s only had a couple of accidents as she was learning the household routine) and sleeps inside at night we’d like to see this indoor / outdoor lifestyle continued in her forever home with either a friendly dog for company or where she can enjoy regular human companionship as she’s not the type of dog who can be left for long periods on her own. Secure fencing, chicken necks to chew on and toys to play with will make loveable Libby very happy indeed!

Libby is desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated and wormed.

Heartworm test = negative (commenced Heartgard).

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
