About Casey *On Trial in Her New Home*
*CASEY IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HER NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Looking for a pup who stands out in a crowd, whose stunning colour and quirky good looks make her one of a kind??? Then you can’t go past adorable Casey!!
Fun-loving Casey is one of two healthy, happy puppies who were born on 1 June in Swan Hill. Their mother is a Red Heeler/Terrier mix but their father is unknown although looking at Casey’s slim build and light brindle coat we’re guessing there’s some sighthound in her such as Whippet or Greyhound.
Named after the volunteer who chauffeured her to us from Swan Hill, Casey is a friendly, energetic, playful pup who loves cuddles and attention. She loves toys and will entertain herself by tossing them around the yard and chasing after them. \ She gets along well with her carers other dogs (although she can get a bit much for the older ones but she’s happy to leave them alone when they tell her off) and she is used to being handled by adults as well as older children making her pretty much “bomb proof” – she’s even good with the household cats, and the chooks and isn’t at all fazed by their cute little mini pig who thinks he’s a dog anyway! Casey’s brother found his forever home a couple of months ago while a run-in with a miniature horse left Casey with a broken leg which had to be plated and the poor girl was confined to a pen for weeks while it healed though now you can’t even tell which leg it was and it hasn’t slowed her down at all – she’s fast! Adorable Casey LOVES food and isn’t fussy so this is helping her with learning the basics such as “sit” and “down” and how to walk on a lead. \ Without really knowing what breeds her dad was it’s hard to tell what size Casey will be when she finishes growing, so we’re guessing she’ll be on the slightly taller side of medium.

As Casey is already housetrained and sleeps inside at night (she’s used to sleeping in a crate from her accident) she would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a playful doggie companion to learn from or on her own but only if she won’t be left alone for long periods of time as she’s used to having company which she thrives on. Being a young pup she will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so she grows up to have lovely manners. Daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to play with will make Casey very happy indeed!!

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
