About Lani (On Hold pending adoption 16/11/13)
Lani is a placid super friendly gentle giant puppy who loves everyone. She's a 12 week old bull mastiff x who is going to be one very leggy girl once fully grown. If you love giant cuddly pooches then Lani is your gal. Lani has the most amazing hound dog "love me" face and will melt your heart constantly.
Lani is in foster care with her sister Juno and 3 other dogs whom she plays and gallivants with during the day. She also lives with 6 cats and is fantastic with them - she loves it when they wind themselves around her feet purring. If the cats aren't in the mood they will swat her and she walks away. This girl can definitely take a hint! If the other dogs are playing too rough she can get a little frightened and yelp to tell them they are too rough. She loves soft toys and playing tug of war with her foster siblings.
Lani loves kids and has been socialised with kids from 2 to 10 years and she is perfect with them - she isn't jumpy, noisy or overly licks and rarely play bites. Lani is treat driven and eager to please so as she grows she's going to be a pleasure to train. She's great with rules, it's sometimes hard to remember that she's only a baby as she's so well mannered. Lani really has a gorgeously perfect temperament.
Lani needs a loving home where she's an inside /outside dog and where she'll be a true member of the family as she thrives on companionship. She will be suited to almost every family environment - single or couple, or a family with young or older kids and will integrate into the family quickly. As with most puppies she would get lonely if left for too many hours a day without some companionship.
Although Lani is a big pup she's not overly energetic; she has bursts of energy and then collapses for a snooze for hours.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
