About Ruby (2) (Adopted 23/12/13)
Ruby is a 3yo, Labrador x Mastiff. She has a wonderful relaxed temperament and is friendly with other dogs of all sizes. She has basic obedience training such as sitting and dropping, and if asked to wait when approaching a road she will sit and/or drop.

Ruby would be best suited to a home where someone is home the majority of the time and would benefit from the company of another dog of similar size to play with while you are out. She MUST be allowed to have some time inside as she would not cope well with being an only dog locked outside. She loves to be where you are and enjoys cuddles. Ruby is very good with children and absolutely adores her current human foster brother(5) and sister(1).
Ruby is full of personality and is a little bit cheeky in the most adorable way – occasionally sneaking onto the bed/lounge or hiding behind the high chair where she thinks she can’t be seen and knows food will eventually be dropped. She has perfected the puppy dog eyes and is an expert at being too cute to say no to!
Like any dog, Ruby needs a daily walk, she can pull initially due to excitement but she does quickly settle down to walk beautifully by your side. Ruby would love to attend dog training classes to learn even more as she is so eager to please. She would not suit a home with smaller pets such as cats, birds or rabbits as she has an instinct to chase.
Ruby is a wonderful loving dog and is ready to join a family who can fully appreciate her.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
