Adoption information
I've been adopted!
About Billy
I'm a young puppy and happy to be alive. Every day is full of surprises and fun - I enjoy playing games with my sister, playing with toys and exploring every new sight and smell. Sometimes I'll chill with a raw hide bone or chew stick but my favourite foods are raw meat or frozen peanut butter in kong toys. \
I adore my human carers and love being around them. I enjoy cuddles on my their laps or I'll snuggle on the sofa next to them.
I enjoy being around other dogs but I'm not sure about cats. I've never met one.
My foster parents think I will be a relatively small dog, because I haven't grown very much in the weeks they've had me. I'm currently less than 10kg and fun-sized!
Because I won't be that big, I won't need a very big yard, although I would like to be able to go outside every now and then. Most of all, I want someone to love and care for me for a long time.
MY IDEAL HOME
I like to be around my family and would respond well to calm and gentle guidance. It is important that the backyard is well fenced as I am a bit of climber.
MY ENERGY LEVEL
Although I definitely don't have the energy levels of a purebred Kelpie, I do like my daily walks. My normal day starts with an excited run around the house and a play with my sister. After breakfast I'm tired and like to go for a loooong nap.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN AND OTHER ANIMALS
I would really enjoy a home with children, but they probably should be 6 years or over, because like most puppies I have my boisterous moments.
I'm a puppy and I haven't met many other dogs but I've liked those I have met. I love my sister - we play well together and occasionally sleep on top of each other. I've never met a cat. What's a cat?
Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill an enquiry form.
You can receive this by emailing NSWadoptions@maggiesrescue.org or visiting our webpage www.maggiesrescue.org
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
