Puppy Rhett (On Trial 7/1/13)

Rhett is a 21 week old, male, Great Dane X puppy. He loves people and spends as much time as possible following his Foster Humans around. He needs to be allowed indoors and not left outside alone all day. He is tall and lanky, and with his long legs plus puppy humour, his puppy antics are so cute and sometimes clumsy. He loves toys so being a puppy lots of toys are recommended.

He is learning about what the lead is for and will require puppy/dog training classes with his new owners as he will be a large dog fully grown and best to get your bond established early on lead. He loves going to parks and the beach and would suit an active family to let him tag along.

Rhett travels well in the car. Toilet training is coming along well, though being a puppy, he may need to be taught where the toilet is in a new home. This is easily achieved by taking him out on regular toilet breaks to start with. He is super adorable and lots of fun, but remember, that like all puppies he will need plenty of affection, exercise, and training. He will grow up to be a large dog !

Rhett is looking forward to finding a home to call his own where he will be allowed inside to spend some quality time with his family each day. He is too young to be left home alone all day so if everyone goes off to work and school he will need a doggy friend to keep me company. Best suited to a home where someone is home often.

Rhett currently lives with dogs of all sizes and age. With smaller dogs he tends to forget his size and can be a little rough for small dogs by wanting to play. Not agressively, just clumsy and puppy play bites them gently. This is being corrected yet a medium to large friendly play mate would best suit Rhett. He has been around children between 7 and 10yrs old from time to time and were fine. He doesn''t mind them running around loudly or cuddling him but can bowl over the littlies if things get hectic. Rhett is already close to 20kg and still growing. His gentle nature is just as big as his physical appearance. He is one BIG Cuddly Teddy Bear.
