About Thor *On Trial in His New Home*
*THOR IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Adorable Thor was surrendered to SARG at only 3 weeks of age and lucky for this tiny pup we were able to reunite him within 2 days with his mum as we heard she’d ended up in our local pound, so we busted her out and brought the two of them together in an amazing reunion which had us all in tears! Thor was then able to be fed by her until he was nearly 8 weeks of age which gave him a far better start to life than us having to bottle-feed him.
Thor’s mum is a beautiful Staffy x Labrador (they look a lot alike!) though we’re unsure of what breeds made up his father. He’s not actually black but a very dark chocolate colour which you can see better when he’s in the sunlight. Thor is a confident, laidback pup who isn’t fazed by much and is enjoying the attention of his foster carers 3 young school-aged children while we find him the perfect forever home.
Since being in foster care Thor’s learnt some basic commands such as “sit” and “down” as well as how to walk on a lead. He can get a bit bossy with the other male pups he’s in foster care with so if he’s to be rehoused with another dog it may be better if it’s a female. Thor will need ongoing socialisation and training so he grows up to have lovely manners. He’s fairly cruisey and not at all in your face or yappy and he loves cuddles and attention. \ He enjoys a play with our other SARG pups though can get a bit rough and he’s not at all fazed by the household cats. Thor’s met his carers chooks and rabbits without any drama and he’s fine with their pet pig who he was a bit scared of at first. Thor sleeps inside at night and his foster carer has been working on his toilet training so he can enjoy spending time indoors and be part of the household goings on in his forever home.
Here are a couple of videos of Thor – it was hot and he wasn’t feeling very playful, he just wanted Schmackos: http://youtu.be/afOYtmejJgE

Loveable Thor is quite low-maintenance, only requiring the occasional brush and bath to keep his coat in tip-top condition. Daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on, toys to play with and continued training will make him very happy indeed! \ Thor would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle in a home where he won’t be left alone for long hours on weekdays in a working household as he’s used to having company and could get bored and up to mischief.

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
