About Reggie (On Trial 8/1/14)
Hi Reggie here, a 2 year old Koolie cross. If you are looking for a dog that is tons of fun to be around, lovable and friendly, I’m your guy! I am devilishly handsome, sporting patches and black spots over my body and have one eye that is half blue, half brown. I tell you I am very unique.
My friends and I enjoy running around playing fetch, but I would have to say my absolute favourite thing to do is swim, I love it! If you let me I would just swim for hours on end, my foster mum was told I may have a bit of cattle dog in me but after we have spent time together she now thinks I am part Koolie, part fish.

I am an extremely happy dog and would make a great companion as I love being by your side, but I am also a good guard dog, I will alert you to people and cars that come into our driveway by barking. Sometimes I like to bark during playtime as well.
Big dogs, small dogs I like them all, but I can get a little excited at first, so it’s probably best if my new home doesn’t have small dogs I can forget they are too little to play with me.
My foster mum says I am very intelligent and have been easy to train. I know my name, how to sit, stay, wait for my dinner and come when I am called. I’m not too bad walking both on and off lead, but still need to learn not to jump. I will be attending an obedience club whilst in foster care, but my new home would need to be willing to continue with training. Given that I am intelligent and also a working breed or will need lots of physical and mental stimulation.
I could see myself settling down on a property or large suburban backyard; as long as I get regular walks, open spaces to run and it goes without saying a place to swim. Because swimming is my first love I need a home that will take me often.
If I was an only dog I would need plenty of toys to occupy me during the day.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
