About Effie
Hi my name is Miss Effie I was rescued from the pound by Wodonga Dog Rescue when my previous owners failed to come and pick me up. I am 11 yrs young and my foster Mum says I still have a lot of living to do. I have recently had a wonderful make over and I came up just beautiful as you can see by my before photo I was looking a bit worse for wear something that no lady should ever experience.
I am currently living with other dogs and get on very well with all of them but what else would you expect from a grand lady such as myself? I am also living with cats and although I don’t think I have it in me to hurt them they are a lot of fun to chase and that is when I can show off just how much life I still have left in me. I very rarely bark, I walk well on a lead and still love a little stroll. I travel well in the car and do enjoy being chauffeured around.
My sight may not be as good as it once was but I will find that crumb you dropped in a minute flat and still wag my tail madly when I “SEE” you come home. It may seem my hearing is failing slightly but I can hear you open a packet of Smackos from a mile away. My body may have a few lumps and bumps and a couple of warts but they’ve all been vet checked and there are no nasties there and my foster Mum says they all add character to my beautiful face because I am gorgeous.
I am perfectly house trained and have not had an accident ever at my new foster home. I am also crate trained and I do love my crate it’s my little haven away from everyone where I can just kick back and relax and sleep the night away. My foster Mum says I have perfect manners because I don’t jump, I wait patiently for my dinner and I will not hop on your furniture unless you invite me too but I do love to sit beside my foster family on the couch for a little cuddle before bed. And I try very hard not to get under foot.
I will be furever grateful to my foster family for taking me in and loving me as one of their very own. I do really like living with them and they’re constantly telling me I can stay as long as I want to but I would just love my very own home a nice little quiet one where there is not much going on so I can rest my paws for my golden years comfortably and peacefully.
If you think you could give me the loving comfortable furever home I am looking for however long or short that might be please get in touch.
