About Puppy Podge (adopted 11/2013)
Podge is an adorable 10 week old Border Collie x puppy. He is happy, friendly and good with children and other animals. He likes to spend his time exploring and finding things to play with, eating and sleeping. He also loves water! At night time Podge will happily put himself to bed without any fuss.
Being so young, Podge is not quite completely toilet trained yet but goes outside most of the time. He will grow up to be a medium sized dog who will need a big walk or run every day and plenty of toys, play time and human and dog interaction to keep him busy and happy.
Border Collies are super smart and can be trained to do almost anything so Podge will excel at puppy and dog training classes. We always recommend training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training. Podge's birthday is the 27th of July 2013.
Podge is generally a really good puppy. His ideal family would be one which has time to train him, let him inside when people are home, and give him loads of love.
For more information or to meet Podge please phone foster carer Mike on 0410 551 743 or email southernmike82@gmail.com . Podge is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW.
Podge's $450 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
