About Diesel
Hi, my name is Diesel and I am a very friendly fellow of 7 years of age. I came in with my friend Dutch and from the information given about me SRV thought I would be ok on my own so I was sent to live with a nice family who had another dog. But unfortunately I was so starved of affection that when someone came and made a fuss of the other dog I got a little jealous. I also really missed Dutch who I have lived with all my life.
You see Dutch and I used to be inside dogs living the life and being included in what our humans did, but then they had babies and we were put outside in a run 24/24, not socialised, not walked and left neglected for years like that so we only had each other. I used to love other dogs and was very relaxed and chilled out so this is not the way I am inside. SRV think the best possible outcome would be for me and Dutch to go to a home together. That way we would have each other and learn to socialise and live as part of a family unit again. If we can't find a home together then I need to go to a single dog home where I am going to be spoilt rotten, sleep inside and be made a fuss of until I realise that I am secure and this new life isn't a dream.
I don't bark and love to lie outside in the sun and watch you do the gardening. I have lost a little mobility to one of my back legs after a stroke 2 years ago so light/short walks only or a good sized back yard would suit me, so if you are a bit of a couch potato that's fine by me as long as I have a family to call my own.
I love greeting visitors, dislike cats and haven't met any other animals. I would love to live with a family where I can be inside again and treated like one of the family. I used to live with a teenage child and knew quite a few voice commands when I was young but need a refresher course as haven't been used on me for a long time. I could do with heaps of cuddles.
