About Rory
Annie (Beagle) and Rory (Maltese x Shih Tzu) have had a shocking life up till now as sadly, they were owned by a cruel family who should never have been allowed to have dogs. Annie was kept on a chain measuring approximately one metre for 8 long years. She was beaten when she barked, ignored when she didn't and Rory was also beaten. Annie and Rory are now being fostered with a kind family who heard of their plight and finally convinced the owners to surrender them. What a wonderful day that was for these two little dogs who are now free from the chains and cruelty they had suffered for so long. Annie and Rory have had all of their vet work done and are now ready to move on with their lives. Despite their sad past, Annie and Rory are now happy with their foster carers and enjoying a new life that includes plenty of good food, nice walks each day and lots of attention. As Annie and Rory have been together for the last 6 years we would ideally like to rehome them together however, if that is not possible, a home with another small friendly dog for company will be fine but we will not rehome them as only dogs. Annie's coat is low maintenance requiring just a bath and a brush but Rory's coat will grow and require regular grooming and clipping to keep him comfy. Both dogs are house dogs and must have indoor access via a doggy door or similar and a home with a retired couple, family with older children or a working couple will suit Annie and Rory.
