About Lily *On Trial in Her New Home*
*LILY IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HER NEW HOME* This stunning looking dog with her coat of many colours is Lily and she’s looking for a fun-loving forever home where she can enjoy the attention she deserves; will it be with you?
Adorable Lily is a friendly, affectionate girl who likes giving kisses and loves cuddles and attention – her whole body wriggles when she’s happy and she has a lovely smile! Unfortunately a young baby has been taking up the majority of her owners time so they’ve made the tough decision to surrender Lily so she can enjoy a more active lifestyle. You can tell Lily has been well-looked after and loved; her owner still finds time to walk her at least every 2nd day – Lily loves her walks and starts out strong and excited though soon settles down to a comfortable pace. They have put time into her training so she knows “sit” and rarely jumps up on you unless asked or if you’ve stirred her up by running around playing silly games with her. Lily really likes toys and will play fetch or have a good game of tug-o-war with you. She wants to play with other dogs (she’s a little bit too playful for their parents elderly Maltese x she was living with) and she’s fine with cats having lived with a couple of the dog-friendly kind who she’d occasionally try to round up much to their disgust!

Lily’s mother was a purebred Border Collie while her father was a Kelpie with a smidgeon of Staffy thrown in for good luck. She’s not a “yapper” though will give a warning bark when there’s a reason too making her a good watchdog. Being 2½ years old Lily’s over the worst of the “digging and chewing”. She absolutely adores water and will happily splash around in a doggie pool or have some fun under the hose on a hot day – she really is a delightful dog! She loves food and takes treats gently. Since their baby’s arrival Lily hasn’t spent any time inside though we’re sure she would adapt quickly if she was allowed to do so in her new home. \ We wouldn’t recommend her to a home with a toddler as she’d accidentally knock them over in her playful exuberance or with that waggy tail of hers though primary school age children or older would be fine.
Lily would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a friendly dog for company or own her own though only if she won’t be left alone for long periods of time as she could get bored and up to mischief. Secure fencing and a good sized yard, daily walks, bones to chew on and toys to play with will make Lily very happy indeed!

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
