Little Bear (On Trial 13/10/13)

Little Bear is a 5 year old Bichon Frise x Shih Tzu. He has big, soft brown eyes that hypnotise you and make you fall in love with him. He is an affectionate and well behaved boy who just loves everyone. There really isn't anything negative to say about him.

Little Bear gets along very well with other dogs. He is good in the car tethered in the back seat, and just looooves to go for a walk! He is so happy to get out and explore and sniff and look all around him. It makes you feel great to make him so happy with just a simple walk.

Little Bear has responded very well to reward based training and you can see his eyes light up when he learns something. I think he's very clever. He is not a barker and is housetrained. He's an inside dog and needs to be inside when anyone is home, and to sleep inside.

To meet this happy, carefree little guy you would never guess that when he came into rescue his coat was a terrible mess. It was so dirty, matted, and full of fleas that he had to be shaved quite short. Even though his coat is now short it is smooth and soft as velvet and feels wonderful to stroke. Bear Bear is a non-shedding breed so his coat needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 6 weeks) to keep him comfortable and beautiful.

Little Bear is the sweetest little man who would love to have a family to call his own. He is very healthy and has more than half his life ahead of him. He would suit almost any loving home so long as he got a daily walk and was inside and a treasured member of the family.
