Oscar

Oscar is a quiet and affectionate dog who is obedient and loving. He energetic and loves to run but he also loves a slow afternoon stroll either through the suburbs or the bush.

This cutie pie is good off the lead and will respond on command. He is respectful of children by giving the little ones space when they are around and has been affectionate with our 9 month old daughter.

Oscar gets on well with other dogs but often observes play, preferring to stay with his owner rather than joining in playtime. He responds well to training.

MY IDEAL HOME: Oscar would benefit from being in a home that gives calm and gentle guidance and is willing to continue with his training. He likes his own company but would benefit from an owner who would give him a lot of attention.

MY ENERGY LEVEL: Oscar loves exercise like running, hiking and mountain biking but also loves a calm and relaxing afternoon stroll. He is excellent off the lead and responds on command. He is calm around the house and doesn't demand exercise.

MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Oscar has had limited interaction with children but it has been positive. He has shown affection to our 9 month old daughter. He would however benefit from being around dog-savvy children or in a home without children.

MY SUITABILITY TO CATS & DOGS: Oscar at this point is not ready to be rehomed with a cat but could be trained to. He could be rehoused with another dog but the dog would need to be an older calm and relaxed dog who can help Oscar. Oscar would also be suitable in an only-dog home as he would thrive in an environment where he gets lots of affection.
