About Paige
Paige is one of 12 Shih Tzu that arrived at the Pound from what we believe is a back yard breeder in the Revesby area. These dogs all look very similar and are not in good condition when they come to PAWS after serving their impound time. Paige came to us with an eye infection, an ear infection and a yeast infection on her face. She also needed a dental, dew claw removal, desexing and hernia repair. Paige is a very sweet little dog whose eye, skin and ear infections have cleared up in a matter of days and she is gaining weight. Paige is visually impaired but manages to find her way around her foster carer's home and garden with ease. She also goes in and out the doggy door and has never had an accident inside. Paige loves her food, her bed and cuddles in that order and puts her front paws on your legs so that you will pick her up and give her hugs and then give you licks in return. The best home for Paige will be with a retired couple or a home where not a lot is expected of her although she will go out for short walks just to sniff and stroll along beside you. Paige is in foster care with other small dogs who seem to know that she is visually impaired and they are very kind to her as she follows them around the house. Paige is a house dog requiring access to the house at all times and her coat will grow and then require regular grooming. She sleeps all night long without a whimper and is so sweet that she has quickly taken a piece of her foster carers heart ... whoever adopts this little dog will love her forever!
