Monty *On Trial in His New Home*

*MONTY IS CRUURENTLY TRIALLING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES PLEASE* Looking for a terrific all-rounder who’s great with other dogs, cats and kids plus he’s a lapdog too??? Then you can’t go past Monty the love bug who adores everyone he meets!

Recently surrendered to SARG due to a change in his owners circumstances Monty is a bit of a charmer who loves cuddles and attention. He’s been well looked after in his previous life and they brought him up to have terrific manners as well as housetraining him. Monty has settled in well into foster care where he enjoys playing with toys and also with his foster carers own dogs; he’s even managed to bring two frightened SARG pups out of their shells who now follow him around like they’re his shadows. He adores children, just wanting to play or be near them, and he loves to hop on the lap of anyone who’ll let him for some “Monty time”!! He’s not bothered by the household cats and tries to initiate play with them – he is really just a happy boy willing to please! Clever Monty knows “sit” and “wait” and he walks well on a lead though could do with some more practice at this. His best trick of all is jumping into your arms when you’re standing – just tap your chest then catch this little fella as he flies through the air and you’ll be rewarded with lots of Monty cuddles!! He enjoys his dry food, chicken necks and treats and takes them gently. \ Monty sleeps inside at night so we would like to see this continued in his forever home. This friendly, affectionate little dog would make a terrific family member and would fit in almost anywhere – he even travels well in a car and at 5 years old he’s over the digging and chewing stage; bonus!!

Handsome little Monty is quite low-maintenance only needing a short walk or a run around the backyard to use up his energy. Being a Maltese x he doesn’t shed hair though he’ll require a good brush once a week and a clip a few times a year to keep his coat in tip-top condition. Secure fencing, chicken necks to chew, toys to play with and lots of loving will make Monty very happy indeed! Monty would be best suited to an indoor/outdoor lifestyle with the companionship of another playful dog or on his own but only if he won’t be left for long periods of time.
