About Angus the Black Lab (On Trial 29/1/14)
My name is Angus; I am a purebred black Labrador retriever, 2 1/2 years in age. I am lively boy needing lots of exercise. My coat is medium to long and would require daily grooming to keep me looking my best.
The training I have received has been limited, especially with walking on the lead, but I can assure you I am a very fast learner who is eager to please. Due to this I can see myself needing obedience training before being able to go off lead and run free in a park. I do know the sit and lie down commands, so that’s a good thing.
I am a big boy and extremely strong weighing in at 40 kg, add this to my high spirits I would be unsuitable around young children or the elderly.
Until I have settled into my new home it would be best if I had someone home with me all the time, as I have some separation issues. I like to lie near you or follow you around the house, I just need to know you are there.
I am really keen to have a family to call my own, without having to share my love with other dogs. I'm not a great fan of cats.
My ideal home is one where I am an inside dog, as I am house trained and one that involves me in their active lifestyle, not leave me on my own. You would also need to be they type of family that enjoys lots of cuddles as I am an exceptionally loving boy.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
