About Tansie (Adopted 10/11/13)
Hi I'm Tansie, a mature short haired border collie, around 10 years in age (so you want have any silly puppy business here). I am placid in nature, a sweet and undemanding girl. I am not a barker, I walk well on a lead and here’s the best bit I can "high 5".

My foster carer has two smaller dogs and cats; I have been playing with the dogs but prefer just to meander on by the cats when I see them. I am what you would call a polite dog, standing next to my carer waiting for a pat, on occasions I may gently nudge your hand with my nose for pat, while my tail wags eagerly. I prefer living with dogs smaller than me because bigger dogs scare me.
Car trips, love them! You will not here a peep out of me I just lay down on the back seat waiting to arrive at our destination. I am nearly fully house trained.
Due to my age, my eyes are a little cloudy, but this hasn't caused me any difficulties with my vision. I can still hear a little but would have to say I am fairly. This just means that when you want me to come, you will need to pat your legs, and call my name loudly, I will always come if you do. My carer is also teaching me to go outside when asked us, again by slapping her legs, pointing to the door and saying 'outside' loudly.
I would love the opportunity to show you how I could make a difference to your life. I see my perfect home as one with no children under 7. A home that will provide me with company and affection, daily brushing, and the freedom to come inside the house with access to the outside world.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
