Adoption information
I've been adopted!
About Maxine ~ Fine with children and cats ~
Maxine, 2 yo, female, Staffy X Cattledog. She is one of the most happy, loving and loyal dogs I have ever known. All Maxie truly desires is to be near her human companions and will do anything to to please you. She will make an ideal companion dog for someone looking for unconditional love and loyalty.
She loves to run around in the backyard and play with her toys and bones (she loves both)! Anything squeaky and she immediately springs into fetch mode!!! She is house trained and sleeps inside. At night time will has access to the back yard in case she needs to go out.
The Cattle Dog in her means she does have a lot of energy and will need to be exercised for an hour each day (could be 2 x 30min walks). There is nothing better than a morning walk with beautiful Maxie by your side! You’re sure to get attention with this gorgeous girl at your heels! She is a dream to take for a walk! She doesn't pull and doesn't run off when off lead. She has been in my car on numerous occasions with no problems.
She does take notice of other dogs when walking however is getting better. We have been taking her to obedience class to socialise her more and she is getting better in a dog environment however still gets stressed when dogs come over to her. So we recommend her new owners continue with taking her to training class or giving her training at home. Maxie doesn't like to share her family with other dogs so she needs to be an only dog.
Maxie is very good with my cat and doesn’t pay any attention to her. She is very friendly will all people and loves my two year old son. She is so very gentle and caring towards him. Maxie has met lots of new adults and they all fall in love with her.
I truly believe that this beautiful little soul will make even the toughest of people melt with her gorgeous smile and friendly nature! She deserves a loving and caring home as your companion and best friend.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
