About Toby
Toby is extremely cuddly, sweet and very eager to please. He learns quickly and just wants to be part of the family, being involved in what they are doing. Because of this and his social nature, he will need to be allowed inside with his people. Toby has really nice manners for such a young puppy – he will run up to you and sit patiently at your feet, hoping for a cuddle. However, like any puppy, he will need ongoing training to polish those manners and make sure they remain intact. Toby makes cute little grunting staffy noises when you scratch his ears. He LOVES to play with toys and can be a bit of a toy hog, frantically stockpiling them in a corner to make sure they don’t disappear. Toby also likes playing with other dogs. He eats like a champion and is very food motivated, which makes training easy. He does not like being wet, and is very precious about the rain (I’d never seen a dog walk on tip toes before Toby!). Toby’s toilet training is coming along really well and he sleeps through the night no problems. (He is crate trained). Toby has medium energy levels – if he’s running around the backyard with other dogs he will then sleep for hours. He loves a cuddle on the couch and will absolutely try to climb on your lap – he’s likely to think he’s a lapdog even when he’s fully grown. Toby values cuddles above anything else. And if he has a toy in his mouth while he’s being cuddled, that’s his idea of heaven. Toby is very social and will not do well left on his own all day. He’ll need a canine companion or someone who is around a lot. Toby is going to be a devoted, fun companion for the lucky family who adopt him.
