On Hold
About Annabelle
A vibrant, affectionate little princess eager to be loved and pampered.
- Other dogs?
She is good with male and female dogs. But she can get a little scared around loud and/or large dogs. She will not be aggressive but she will be frightened.
- Cats?
Unsure
- Kids?
As she is little and fragile she does not like rough play or lots of chaos. We recommend older kids who will be gentle and quiet.
- Size?
Approx 4 kgs
- Activity level / exercise requirements?
She is moderately active and loves walks to the park.
- Escape artist?
No
- Does the dog need company during the day? People/other dogs?
Yes. She is very people orientated and will make a wonderful companion for someone home more often than not. She would not suit someone who works full time. Annabelle might be able to be left with another dog for company as long as it is gentle and they bond.
- Toilet Trained?
Yes
- The dog’s likes / dislikes?
Annabelle loves affection and to be near her special human friends. She also loves treats and walks to the park. She dislikes being handled by young children. She will become frightened if you raise your voice.
- Ideal home for her?
She is a very gentle but timid dog. She needs a peaceful home where she has lots of attention and a predictable routine. She is not aggressive, pushy or demanding. Her tail will go between her legs, she will shake and hide if she is uncomfortable.
- GENERALLY
She is still a young dog who chases the remote control car in the park when she visits with her carer. She will not suit elderly or young families. She is still vibrant and full of life and enjoys moderate amounts of activity. She will need to be a companion for someone who wants a dog as a central part of their lives.
TO MEET
Please submit submit and expression of interest form from www.dogadoption.org.au
Adoption details
We strongly recommend you read the dogs' profile carefully as everything we know about the dog/s is listed.
If you are interested in a dog we invite you to submit an application form so we can learn more about your circumstances. This is to ensure we match the right dog to the best home. (one form per family - not per dog) http://www.dogadoption.org.au/adoption---expression-of-interest.html
This is for the benefit of both the dog and the potential new owner/s. It also saves time and uses limited resources more effectively.
Once the essential criteria is confirmed we put you in touch with the carer for a more detailed chat with a view of meeting the dog/s.
If you decide to proceed with the adoption we make a time for a house check.
The adoption fee is then paid (there is a 2 week cooling off period.) Please note we do not usually allow trials.
Foster carers are also able to adopt foster dogs once approved.
