Cherry

Cherry came into care having given birth to her 3 pups in a paddock, and taken to the rangers desk. They rang us at dch to take her in before going through the pound system & avoiding the pups picking up infections inside the kennels. She is a great mum, estimated at 18-24 months this is her first litter. She has obviously been neglected in the past as she is currently deaf from repeated untreated ear infections. Now the pups are weaned it is our intention to have her desexed & her ears operated on so that she will have some quality of hearing & a better quality of life. She can sit & always does so for some pats & loving. To date i haven't heard her bark at all, which may be because she doesn't hear much to bother her or it may just be in her nature. She has longer feathery fur on her rear & hind legs & is a lovely cherry colour, hence the name. The collar is to stop her continually scratching & ripping her ears open. She has cream applied twice a day to help alleviate the itch but until the operation is done we cannot clear the infection effectively as her ears are totally blocked. She is an angel & has bonded with me & my 3 children. She is now ready for viewing & can be adopted once she has had her vet worked completed. I think she is better suited to a home with gentle older children who will not be too boisterous, or an older family with grown up children, or an older couple looking for a gentle dog to cuddle & adore
