Panda (On hold pending adoption 3/10/13)

Meet Panda a beautiful, 7 month old, red Australian Cattle Dog x Kelpie puppy. \ She is a timid girl who takes some time to trust a new environment and new people. However once you gain that trust she is an adorable cuddle bug who loves to smooch and lay all over you. Panda has had a very tough start to her short life and has been in care for 2 months learning to trust humans and dogs again, so she needs a special family who can help her adapt to her furever home.

Panda has the most beautiful soft fur and is like cuddling a big teddy bear when she folds into your lap for snuggles. She loves to be with her family so needs to be an inside / outside dog.

Panda is in foster care with 4 foster pooches big and small and she's best friends with all of them. She bonds well with small friendly dogs as they are less intimidating for her initially. It takes her a little while longer to get used to big friendly dogs as she finds them very scary initially. Once at ease Panda loves to gallop around the house and yard with her toys and play rough and tumble games with the other dogs. She is cutely clumsy so get ready for entertaining moments with Miss Clutz - she also has this funny habit of sliding off the couch like a slinky spring when sleepy. She loves to collect your clothes (particularly socks and shoes) like a bower bird and put them in her bed.

Panda needs a very special family who will give her time to bond with and trust them. Her furever family will need to commit to introducing her to new situations and supporting and encouraging her as she adjusts to her new home. Once she realises that she won't be hurt she will reward you with puppy snuggles and licks and absolute loyalty. Although she hasn't spent much time with children, like all things, once she trusts them she will love them. Panda has no fear aggression with people - when frightened she will shy away and attempt to hide so she will need a safe haven to help her feel secure. She loves walking and is interested in watching life from a safe distance for now.
