Chevy (On Trial 6/10/13)

Chevy is a 10 month old, male, purebred Border Collie. He is such a beautiful boy. He loves other dogs (large and small), children, and everyone he meets. He doesn't have a bad bone in his body. He loves to play with his toys and play chasies with my 4 other dogs. He is also very affectionate and will soak up all the attention and cuddles you give him and return it ten-fold.

Typical border collie, Chevy is super smart! He would be the star student in any dog training class! We have already taught him some basic commands such as sit, stand, wait, and come when called. He sits and waits for his dinner. He is still a puppy and sometimes gets excited and jumps up but we are teaching him to sit instead and he is catching on quickly. Because of this we can't recommend him to families with children under 10. His new family would need to continue his training.

Chevy is fully housetrained. He stays outside through the day with our other dogs, then comes inside to sleep on his bed at night. He barks at strange noises. He is a very active dog and needs to be walked every day. He really enjoys a trip to the off-lead dog beach where he can race around and burn off some energy. He needs plenty of interaction with his family, such as training and playtime, or just hanging out together watching TV.

Chevy would be well suited to an active person, couple, or family with older children, who would enjoying spending time with him and including him in their daily lives. \ If everyone is at work all day he'd need a walk in the morning and another dog to keep him company. He will be your faithful and adoring companion.
