Arnie

Hi, my name is Arnie and I am 4 years of age. I am a beautiful rare colour called "fawn blue". I come with not only my own pedigree papers but copies of my mum and dad's papers too.

My owners are very reluctantly giving me up because our situation has changed and we are not living in our own home anymore. This has caused issues because for all of my life I have been able to roam freely inside and follow my humans from room to room. Now I am only allowed inside if I sit on a mat and stay. I do as I am told but its making me sad and anxious. I also have to sleep in the laundry these days and spend the days in a dog run.

I am pretty boisterous and have not lived with young children, nor am I used to them. Its thought I am a little too energetic and would knock them over. I would suit either an older family or someone retired. However I need to go to a very firm handler.

I am good with other dogs both large and small and like playing rough, although it depends on the dog and am submissive around a foxie that I have grown up with. My owners have given me regular play dates with a female bulldog and we are well matched. I have not lived with other dogs or cats though.

I get pretty excited when strangers come and jump up on them. This is nothing unusual though and some obedience training would put a stop to it because I would get my stimulation there and calm down.

I am a sooky boy like most Staffords and just want to be around people so I want a home where you are around a lot and I can share your day with you. I need to be allowed inside, especially to sleep and be treated as part of the family. I respond better to the male in my present situation, maybe because he is firmer with me. I am obedient but find it hard when I am excited. \ My owners say I am like a puppy in an adult body.

I am presently very anxious because of the living arrangements and the family just want to find the ideal home where I can be myself again which they say is a beautiful boy who loves nothing more than to snuggle up on the couch with you at night.

I am the ideal companion for the right person or people. Is that you ?
