About Onyx (On Trial 14/9/13)
Meet Onyx. He is the sweetest dog you will ever meet! Onyx is a 3 year old Kelpie x Labrador, weighing around 18kgs. He has the sweetest face and always wants to be by your side. His coat is super soft and he is very cuddly. Onyx is the perfect best friend, he is so loyal and gentle. He absolutely loves all humans and loves all dogs and just aims to please. He can be a little shy at first until he warms up to you, and then he is your best friend!
We are training him and he is quickly learning to sit, stay, drop, bed and shake. He loves his food so we find that easy to use to train him. He is GREAT on a lead and doesn't pull at all.
Onyx sleeps inside cuddled up on his bed and is happy to play outside during the day when no one i
s home. He is toilet trained and likes to be around you when you are home. He is a really gentle boy so we think he would be perfect with kids! He is just a beautiful soul.
He also loves to play fetch and loves loves loves chew toys! He is a fairly active dog so would suit an active family or anyone who will take him for a daily walk or run. Onyx is so gentle and friendly with all creatures and would make a great family pet!

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
