Jason

Jason is an 18 month old Jaffy! (Jason Russell x Staffy); so larger than a JRT but smaller than a Staffy. He is still very much a big goofy puppy. He is starting to play with toys, but as yet won't bring things back. He is getting on well with my other two dogs and settled in well finding his place quickly and without any dramas.

He hasn't had any obedience training as yet so it'd be great if his new Mum or Dad could take him to dog training classes. I had no trouble teaching him to use the doggy door so I think he will learn quickly. He doesn't like to be disturbed while eating his food but it's no big deal, we just feed him separately. Simple training could teach him that no one is going to take his food. He is not at all a fussy eater.

Jason is very timid and may have been mistreated or not socialised as a puppy. He cowers and wets from fear even at something as simple as a raised voice. Also the mower, the whipper snipper, and even the hose sees him make for his bed in the laundry to hide.

Jason needs someone to show him lots of the love and affection that he is craving. I feel he would suit a family that has older children and who want to make him very much a part of their lives. I don't know how he would deal with younger children whose attention might be a bit overwhelming for him. Jason will probably need lots of interaction and company to keep his mind occupied or he may have a tendency to mischief.
