About Brandi (adopted 25/12/14)~ Special Needs ~
Brandi is a Pomeranian x Tenterfield Terrier, about 2 years old, looking for love. She didn't have a good start to life but is beginning to gain confidence. She needs someone gentle and patient who will show her lots of love so she can continue learning to trust people. After she knows you she enjoys being held and will fall asleep in your arms.

Brandi is a very pretty little girl who could easily be mistaken for a small fox! She has soft reddish fur which is beautiful to brush and stroke. She is used to being with other small dogs and will sometimes play with another little dog. She has had very little experience walking on lead. She is frightened by loud noises. She is an inside dog.
Brandi has been responding well to training with food rewards (she loves her food!). If you offer her a tasty treat she'll come up to take the treat from your hand and sit near you. If you're quiet and gentle with her she will make friends. Our volunteer dog trainer will be happy to advise you about how to introduce Brandi into your household and answer any questions you may have.
Brandi needs a calm, settled environment so she wouldn't be suitable to a home with children. She is a very loving dog who just needs someone to give her a chance to blossom. It will be extremely rewarding to gently introduce Brandi to the big wide world and watch her learn to open up and be happy. Brandi is not used to being left home alone so she will need either another small, calm dog to be her friend and/or a new mum or dad who is home most of the time.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
