About Dolce (On Trial 1/9/13)
Dolce is a 2 year old female Shih Tzu x Maltese. Beautiful little Dolce (doll.chay) is one very special girl. She is so affectionate and loving and follows me everywhere. She has had little contact with the world outside the backyard she called home so to her everything is new and exciting!
She loves walking on the lead but is easily distracted by the wonders around her ...I'm sure that in time and with the help of her new owner she will be a delight to take out and about....Dolce likes riding in the car and especially loves to feel the wind on her face (harnessed into seatbelt of course)....
Dolce eats well for such a small girl but after a meal she is ready for some downtime which means curled up next to me on the lounge or on my bed depending on the time of day!
Dolce has some separation anxiety which we are working on together but as her foster carer I am trying to teach her that "yes I'm coming back" but at the same time I am trying to leave some space between us that can only be filled by a new loving owner!
Dolce loves everyone she meets and can get so excited that she barks and wags her tail at the same time... once you have acknowledged her she will more than likely want to sit in your lap for a cuddle!
This little girl will make the perfect companion for somebody who spends a lot of time at home and can take her for regular walks and car rides!
For more information or to meet Dolce please phone foster carer Michelle on 0431-548-163 or email michellemoodley@hotmail.com. Dolce is in foster care in Newcastle and is available for adoption interstate.
Dolce's $450 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
