About Arabella
Arabella is a sweet-natured cat who somehow found herself living on the wrong side of the tracks – we’re sure if she could speak she would inspire a whole new series of “Underbelly: The Cat of Nine Tales”.
During the weeks she has been in foster care, Arabella has at last been able to relax and let her true personality shine through. She is a very gentle and affectionate cat with very simple needs: food, water and love.
If you are looking for a calm and mature cat who will happily keep you company for hours while you relax in front of the TV or have lazy weekends in bed, then Arabella is your perfect match.
She would also make an ideal companion for Seniors who are looking for a calmer animal to share their lives - she is an excellent listener and very snuggly!
MY IDEAL HOME: My ideal home has a nice warm snug place for me to relax during the day and sleep during the night. I like being with people, but I prefer quiet and calm people who give me lots of pats and talk to me. If you’re not home all the time, that’s fine by me – I’ll just chill out until you come home and welcome you back with a very chirpy purr.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: What’s all the fuss about exercise and chasing toys? I stretch, I walk over to my food bowl, I look out the window…. occasionally I even walk into other rooms just to see if anything has changed since last week, but really, all this moving around, it’s SO over-rated!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I am a very gentle cat who can be startled by sudden movements or loud noises. For this reason, I would happiest in a quiet family with older calm children, or in a home with no resident children.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS & DOGS: I have lived with both cats and dogs in the past but they weren’t very nice to me so I don’t have good memories of those days. In my foster home I have been living with a nice cat and a friendly dog, so I have learned I can relax around them, but really if I had a choice I think being the only animal in the house would suit me best.
Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill an enquiry form.
You can receive this by emailing NSWadoptions@maggiesrescue.org or visiting our webpage www.maggiesrescue.org
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
