About Foster (D456)
Foster is male border collie, with lots of love to give.
He is good with other dogs and has been introduced to cats very successfully. He was very timid when he arrived, but since then his confidence has grown. He can startle at loud noises, waving arms and things that he is unfamiliar with. he can also be fearful of people (even ones that he has meet before). It is important that his new owner can give him clear direction and leadership as this helps him to be confident if he feels safe and that he has someone to look to for direction.
He walks well on a leads once he settles into the walk and likes to meet other dogs. He can play rough with other dogs and likes to try to heard them if given the opportunity.
Foster is still only a puppy and if left unsupervised can be anxious and dig, or pull apart fluffy beds or toys. He does like the company of other dogs to keep him busy.
He is a super smart boy that will learn quickly, but also snuggles up for a cuddle. Foster would be best suited to a rural environment due to unfamiliar and city noises being a little stressful for him. He loves open spaces and would like to have lots of space to run and play.
Foster is one of the "12 days of Christmas" animals that HPAWS is further subsidising and so he will only cost $200- to adopt. Which will help to cover some of the veterinary treatment for de-sexing, micro-chipping, vaccination, worm and flea treated and registered (if you live within the Horsham Rural City Council).
Temporary micro-chip number is DAB1.
