About Posy
Posy is a cute seven-year-old fox terrier. A great house pet, she rarely barks, likes to snuggle on the couch and adores being around people. She is also happy to have some time alone on occasion.
This girlie loves long walks and greatly enjoys being a passenger in a car. When walking, she is very good both on- and off-lead. She sits patiently when it is time to attach her for the walk.
Posy is fully house-trained and can use a dog door. She is very obedient, and can even give people a high five on command.
She enjoys her food and treats, without being a greedy, food-obsessed dog.
Posy is crate-trained, using it as a sanctuary if a house is too noisy or frantic.
She is wary of strangers and does not suit a home with children. She would thrive in a calm household. She does not like frantic, noisy activity, although she is improving in this regard.
Miss cutie pie gets along fine with other dogs and likes to socialise in the dog park. She like to tap smaller dogs on the bum with her paw when she meets them in the park to get their attention.
MY IDEAL HOME: My perfect home would be a older couple who are around during the day, can take me on daily walks and allow me to be with them. I prefer a calm household as sometimes new people scare me. Nothing makes me happier than being with my owners. Although I am fine staying in the house on my own, I don't want to be left alone all week as I have a lot of love to give.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I do love my walks and a good sniff around, so I would like to be out twice a day either on or off leash. If you are going for a drive, I would like to come on that as well as I love my humans and want to be with them.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: No children please, I find them too noisy and unpredictable.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS & DOGS: I would happily live with another dog and I do enjoy playing with other dogs in dog park. I don't live with a cat at the moment but my foster mum thinks with the correct introduction I will be fine.
Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill an enquiry form.
You can receive this by emailing NSWadoptions@maggiesrescue.org or visiting our webpage www.maggiesrescue.org
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
