About Lexie (On Trial 1/9/13)
Lexie is a 3 year old Jack Russell. She is a cutie, with such an expressive face! She “talks” to communicate and is alert and responsive. Lexie is playful and full of energy until suddenly she’ll fall asleep for a short while then quickly revive, ready for more action and fun.She simply loves going swimming and is as at home in the water as a tiny dolphin. She also revels in ducking under the hose. She likes to play fetch and plays well with my other dogs. She enjoys her walks but still needs some training with the lead as she likes to stop and sniff in all directions.
Still very young, Lexie wants to play wrestle and likes a chewy toy or food. She prefers some company as she could be rather insecure if left alone too long and maybe even try to dig her way out to find company. When she wants to play she will often do a little dance routine which I wish I could catch on camera as it’s so entertaining! She is an affectionate little lass, loves being inside on your lap or even on your bed if you’ll let her snuggle there with you. She is very clean; she has a short, low maintenance coat which sheds very little. She is an inside dog and will only be rehomed where she is welcome inside as part of the family.
Lexie is such a devoted little dog she needs to be with someone who is non-working and can be with her most of the time. Another playful dog for company for Lexie would be a bonus.
She needs a daily walk or preferably two. Being a bright young girl, she would respond easily to more obedience training so she is guided to learn your rules and expectations. She wants to please. Being only 4-5 kgs, she is light and cuddly and is not at all fussy with her food. This is one wonderful young girl for company and delight. She will return to you in abundance every bit of love and attention you give her!

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
