About Butch *On Trial in His New Home*
*BUTCH IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES PLEASE* They say it’s all in the eyes, well this pup has eyes that will melt your heart as they’re such a stunning light colour – they compliment his gorgeous Husky-like markings too!
Beautiful Butch is one of two healthy, happy puppies who were born on 1 June in Swan Hill. Their mother is a Red Heeler/Terrier mix but their father is unknown so we wouldn’t be at all surprised if Butch really does have some Husky in him although lucky for him he has a nice smooth coat and not an extra thick one!
Butch is a friendly, gentle-natured puppy who isn’t at all yappy or in your face. He's loving and sweet and adores snuggling up with you. Butch gets along well with his carers other dogs, both big and small, and he is used to being handled (cuddled!) by adults as well as children making him pretty much “bomb proof” – he’s even good with the household cats, their miniature horses, the chooks and isn’t at all fazed by their cute little mini pig who thinks he’s a dog anyway! Butch and his sister are quite close and will be play for hours with each other or with their toys before curling up in the winter sunshine for a well-deserved puppy nap. She’s the bossy one, so Butch tends to just “go with the flow” when she pushes him around although he will ark up occasionally if he feels really passionately about something; usually a favourite toy! Adorable Butch LOVES food and isn’t fussy so this is helping him with learning the basics such as “sit” and “down” and he’s shown no signs of food aggression when eating around other dogs. Without really knowing what breeds his dad was it’s hard to tell what size Butch will be when he grows up though as he’s quite a fine build (he’s smaller than his sister) and doesn’t have large paws we reckon he’ll be a medium sized dog kinda like a Kelpie.

As Butch is already picking up housetraining and sleeps inside at night (his carer has crate trained him) he would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while he’s a pup as he’s used to having company which he thrives on. Being a young puppy he will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so he grows up to have lovely manners. Daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to play with will make Butch very happy indeed!!

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
