About Millie
Introducing beautiful, tiny, sweet, gentle Millie. Millie was a very nervous little angel when she first arrived into foster care. She had clearly never known the joys of life - like toys, a gentle pat, a kind voice or a cosy warm bed. But since being in foster care she has really begun to blossom and come out of her shell and her little personality has started to shine. Millie plays lots of subtle games now, which are very cute to watch and mainly rely on having eye contact with her… a bit like ‘peek-a-boo, i-see-you’.
Millie is a very intelligent and sensitive little girl, who would do anything to please her human… even just a ‘look’ of ‘no’ lets her know that she shouldn’t be doing what she was doing, and she corrects her behaviour immediately.. which makes her an absolute dream to have around.
She jumps in the car for road trips and loves travelling in the car… as it generally means she’s heading to the beach or doing something equally fun! As long as she is with you, she is happy.
Millie adores her human family and really is a people’s dog. She will take every opportunity to be in physical contact with her humans, thus Millie is most at home when she is curled up on your lap, looking up into your face with her big, gorgeous eyes saying ‘I love you’…
She is still rather shy of new people and doesn’t like to be separated from her family - when the professional dog walkers came to take her for her first walk, she managed to escape and tried to make her way back home… it takes her time to trust strangers. But if her family is there, encouraging her into new situations, she will be brave and want to please you and puts her trust in you that you'll look after her. She has gone to many social outings with her foster family and as long as you are never out of her sight, she is relaxed and happy to be out and about. She is best socialising with dogs her own size.
Millie loves her off leash time at the fenced dog park and loves to do some mad, super fast run arounds. She has brilliant recall and will come back to you as soon as you call her name. She is house trained and sleeps through the night… and doesn’t mind sleeping in either!
Millie’s ideal home is one where she will be treated as one of the family, where she will be included in activities and showered with love. She would enjoy the company of another small, gentle but playful, dog and a family who is home most of the time.
Millie is a beautiful, loyal, shy soul who will make the most divine addition to a peaceful, relaxed and loving family.
Millie is located in Melbourne.
